About Flesherton

Flesherton is an appealing town at the crossroads of
Highway 10 and Grey County Road 4.  It has been a trading
centre for all of its history.  It is enough to draw visitors from
the Toronto area, and being set in the rural countryside, it is a perfect day-trip destination, presenting hospitality with a heritage theme. 
The highways near Flesherton follow the routes of the Durham
Road and the Toronto and Sydenham Road.  Early settlers gave names to nearby areas such as Priceville and Ceylon.
Flesherton is known as "the gateway to the Beaver Valley".

Located in Flesherton is the South Grey Museum, local artists' studios and galleries that are open to the public, a public
library and a farmer’s market which runs every Saturday from
May until October.  The small town of Flesherton also is involved
 in antique shows that are held on each Victoria day and Thanksgiving weekend.  Also, the Split Rail Festival which
celebrates rural heritage is held in late September and an
autumn leaves studio tour takes place in October.

Flesherton Hills is located behind Macphail Memorial Elementary School and Grey Highlands Secondary School in Flesherton. 
 It is an area of deserted farmland and orchards, woods, and
beaver ponds, which has been selected for outdoor studies,
and has a broad collection of trails for hiking and cross-country skiing.  All of the trails are clearly pointed out and you can easily wander and explore and watch for beaver and deer etc.
 Flesherton also has an unsupervised family pond where you
can go swimming.  It includes a sandy beach, change room,
